May Sophie Triplett
Age 95 Years

May peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017, joining her husband Ron. Born December 2, 1921 in Kelliher, Minnesota, May was preceded in death by her husband Ron, parents Otto and Elsie Bauermeister, granddaughters Amy Robin Swann and Kristy Jean Swann, and son-in-law Robert Joseph Swann. May is survived by daughter Donna J. Swann, sons Randal R. Triplett (Patricia) and Thomas R. Triplett (Melanie), grandchildren Peggy Swann, Jeremy Triplett, Rebecca Triplett, Amy Jones (Josh), Derek Stichweh (Valerie) and great grandchildren Aedyn Triplett, Taylor Jones, Laina Jones, Faith Stichweh, and London Flack, born on the day of May's passing. As a wife, mother and friend, May was a most loving, caring and compassionate person. Growing up, May thought of herself as a frequent traveler, she moved 18 times in her first 18 years of life before settling in Spokane and marrying the love of her life, Ronald. May graduated from Central Valley High School, she worked at the Crescent Department Store taking children's pictures with Santa, as a travel agent with Air-Sea-Land Travel, and also worked at Spokane's Hallmark and Card Farm in down town Spokane. She and her husband Ron loved to travel with their friends, having RV'd to nearly every state in the union, numerous cruises abroad and several trips to Hawaii. They even found the time to spend nearly every summer weekend, since 1972, at their cabin on Deep Lake. Wednesday's was her favorite weekday, playing pinochle with her many life-long friends at "Card Club." When recently asked what her secret was to such a long and adventurous life, she replied; "Just Be Happy!" Her positive demeanor, quick-wit and humor will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to know May. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home beginning at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
